MS to agar
    #20278655 - 07/15/14 08:43 PM (10 years, 6 months ago)

It's been awhile since I've done MS to agar and I've actually only done it a few times. Due to a flood, I lost all my cultures and prints and am now starting from MS again.

I'm curious as to what others do.

When do you make you're first transfer?

In the past, I've waited till I got about a dime sized growth and then transfer from all the different looking spots, if there are any. But I usually take from 2-3 spots anyway.

I have a very tiny spot of growth with some wispy myc and considering going ahead and taking a sample. These wisps are standing up off the agar.

Opinions?

I'm mostly bored waiting on some agar to cool:tongue:

Would you let the rest of it keep growing?
