can a person add a valve on a all american 921 to make it create a vacuum when it cools?
since all the all americans w/stopcocks have a extra overpressure plugs does this make it impossible or unsafe?
thanx

Place an alcohol soaked paper towel over the stopcock while it is cooling to help prevent contamination.

its would be bothersome to have a kitchen as sterile as a clean room
thanx for the advice signo and poops but,
i have installed a all metal valve on my 921 it worked GREAT i recomend this for anyone that has one and understand how dangerous it is to move a hot heavy p.c'er into a clean room immediently after cooking

Do you mean you converted a pressure cooker or a canner into an sterilizer? I was thinking in doing so as I can easily get the model with a simple type of pipe valve and I want to replace it with the pieces used by the sterilizer. It seems you succeed doing that. I am understanding well? However Rogerrabbit said somewhere that he prefer the canner but without any automatic quick pressure release. I am interested in the possibility of converting a pressure cooker or canner into a sterilizer by changing the valves I think they have standard sizes and everything else seems to be similar so it should be possible. Any ideas?
