If you have prints on aluminum foil in a ziplock with a little moisture in the bag........say pea size in the middle of the print ........is that going to ruin them???
Thanks for any replies. ..

IDK if it would ruin them but. . . I have found that any moisture left on the print before folding makes it a bitch to open. Best to let em dry fully before folding and bagging
Don't throw it away, just take more and get it right ya don't want to trade prints that are sub par

I print in Tupperware containers or under glass cups. After spores have dropped, I Remove the cap and close the container/glass back up to allow the print to dry out some. You wouldn't want to dry your print in open air.

Never take prints under a glass or bowl. This traps too much water and will lead to bacteria infection in your prints. Take prints on an open table with a sheet of tyvek laying over the top to stop drafts.
Water on prints renders them virtually useless unless you have agar skills. RR

You could still use the injection of sterile water in the bag to make syringes tho right ???

What happens when you inject sterile water into a bag of bacteria? Is it still sterile? RR

I've never had this issue. I make light prints so maybe they're not ending up as wet as a darker print would.
Thank you RR.

This absolutely explains what happened with my latest attempt to get the ball rolling again on growing. I printed directly into a jar and then kept that jar in a tub in a shed for almost a year.
When I went to make my syringes, my print looked like this.

went ahead and made the syringes just to see what would grow. 5 days later all the jars were 70-80 percent colonized with white stuff which a new cultivator could easily mistake for healthy mushroom mycelium.

Although these jars have no tell tale smell of bacteria, they're going to be sterilized and the cakes tossed out and I'll be starting over.
I ordered spores one time years ago and was able to keep it going up until this point. Now I'm going to have to order spores again because this was my only print to start from.
