Electronic pressure cooker with no power cord?
    #20266847 - 07/13/14 01:17 PM (10 years, 6 months ago)

So i have the chance of buying  a 12L electronic pressure cooker for $40 and probably can get it cheaper.. but it don't have the power cord at all..  anyone know where or how I can find this cord ..  it's for a xy-260 pressure steam sterilizer.    If i can't find the cord can I just just put just put it on on the stove top and use it like that?

Any info helps..

You could easily get a replacement power cord at home depot or just about anywhere.  If its the type that goes in a receptacle then about ANY crod that kinds fits will work as long as it has no step up or resistors on the line like a laptop or something, and as long as its wired for you local power grid aka 110 or whatever((guessing since you used liters you are not in the us?).  12l is pretty small tho man, I would rather spend 60 and get the 21qt presto.  Show us a pic of where the cord goes tho and we can be much more helpful.

Ahh I hate when the msg u write accidentally gets deleted by pressing back..  but short version is.....

Might try to get It for 20$ and modify it as a company that sells it says it's nothing special just a cord.  Thank you for pointing out it is small I'm wondering if I should get this now then the 21l very soon later.  Have 2 then.. screw it..I have 40 lbs of grain I'm gonna be needing to get do....  Might buy it and  sell it online.. A working one cost 220 or so, so one with no cord would go for 75-100?. Sounds good.

And this one I found out after reading I can use with liquid petroleum or coal stove as well so I figure stovetop would be fine and that's why the cord comes odd like it does and have metal pipe type sheild.

He has had a chemiclave as well is that like an autoclave?

That's a nice pressure cooker. I wouldn't pass up on it if I were you! Even if you were to resell it like you said. It is small, but you could use to sterilize agar/tools/test jars/etc.

Running a small pcer would be easier in these cases than having to bring a 40 quart up to temp.

I'll get ahold of that person and get that pc tomorrow,  I hope.  Just waiting for spores, first shipment never got here so the supplier send another batch.  And checking to see if I have everything I need

But dont Eu plugs run on 220? This pressure cooker  uses 110v so wouldn't that mean it's not eu?

if its 110 then its American.  I said i thought you were in EU and you didnt reply or  missed it so I assumed I was correct lol.  Just either rig a power cable or get a replacement man, if the company is still in business maybe contact them? Is the power cord just gone or damaged.

Yea master blaster I missed where u said since I used the term liters u assume in not in us. .. actually when in looked up the specs for the pc that's what it showed so that's what I used. I'm actually in the USA and will probably solder on the end of a cut computer cord.. . But they are still solid at 40 so no discount but I might still get it
