    #2027028 - 10/20/03 11:27 PM (13 years, 1 month ago)

My new appartment doesn't have a stove but I have a propane grill. I think that it would work to pressure cook jars what do you guys think?

sure, why not. pressure cookers just need high heat to get to boiling point (not difficult, as it's a covered pot) then a couple minutes venting steam, then the pressure turning up (eg by putting the weight on and waiting til it gets to 15psi) and the heat turning right down.

you have a heat source, so you can use a pc as well as any saucepan. just DON'T LEAVE THE PC UNATTENDED or you won't be there if it makes telltale noises cos of no water left, vent blocked or other 'imminent explosion' warning.

better safe than sorry.
