Can I grow shrooms from spores I've collected from other mushrooms?
    #20269582 - 07/14/14 03:58 AM (10 years, 6 months ago)

A friend of mine said she had wild Cubes growing in her horse paddock, she said she could get me some spores. How could she collect those spores, and would I be able to grow them from the spores she collects?

I have the recipe / method for growing cubes from a syringe of spores, only I do not have any vermiculite, are there any substitutes? I guess I can't just tap the cap of a cube on some cow shit and keep it in a Styrofoam box of moist hay?

Also there is the parent factor... I have a dark cupboard that I can hide a jar of the substrate. But I can't set up a terrarium without my parents noticing, any suggestions.

Excuse my noobness and I figure I should probably just give up hope of growing them and just look for them them wild.

Thanks for any help!

growing from spores of wild shrooms is going to require some agar skills...

if your parents are not cool with you growing there, don't fucking do it... show some respect man...

Don't grow illegal mushrooms in your parents home.
