i cant say ive been in the same situition as you, but ive ate some fugusy fungus from the fields and im still walkin. when they used to get maggots on em id just boil em. i say eat up

How thick is the stuff? Is it covering the whole fruit? or is it just little spots of fuzz? how long did you leave them with the dessicant? these questions may help diagnose them prob. My suggestion is (if the shrooms weren't water logged and didn't have any discoloration inside or outside the stem) to eat a very small dose of the fuzzed fruit... feel anything other than a small come on of psilo and you may have a alkaline contam and that is bad... if nothing happens that's a little more reassuring. Either way your risking youself (granted its a small risk... people eat moldy bread and don't usually keel over...), be smart. If you have alot of shrooms and have access to a rat you could feed the rat some of the fuzz and see if anything bad happens to the rat (other than it tripping out maybe...). Test the shizz out on something before you do a regular size dose...

Was this fuzz growing on the shrooms while they were still on the cake? If it was, then I would have to say that its probably mycelium and shouldn't be a problem. You really haven't described the fuzz well enough for anyone to give you a decent answer.

I've never had success trying to dry shrooms by putting them straight into the dessicant chamber. Fan dry them for a day first.

Access to a rat? Do you think this guy is a lab technician or something?

If the "mold" is heavier on the bottoms of the steams it is probabally mycelium and OK. Just dry them out with a fan or hair drier or something before using a desicant.

If its mycelium - It wont hurt you, If its cobweb mold - .........It still wont hurt you, cobweb mold is safe - TMC (Stamets says so
)
