Looking at the photo, does the center of the cap dip down (sort of like a belly button) or perhaps even form a small hole (tube) down into the stem?

Are any parts of the mushroom slimy or sticky?

Your specimens seem to suggest Psathyrella. Because the genus is difficult to identify mushrooms to species in, little is know about the edibility of the verious species. They are not recommended for eating. None of them are active.

Happy mushrooming!

yes the cap does dip down, some do look like belly buttons.
the mushrooms were not slimy or sticky.

They are similar to Psathyrella incerta, but a microscope is required to identify Psathyrellas accurately.

Happy mushrooming!
