bucket tek question
    #20266758 - 07/13/14 12:50 PM (10 years, 6 months ago)

I mixed up a bucket of coir the other day and left the lid on to cool.
Forgot about it for a couple days..

Should I mix up a new brick?

You could pasteurize the choir that is in the bucket.

I've left it as long as two weeks.  Two to three days is no biggie.

Ya you are good. Once don it should be good for a while.  its how bags of soil and stuff don't mold in stores if there is no anti mold/fungal.

I have a ziploc bag with a handful of coir that I bucketed about 2 years ago still kicking around the house. Last time I saw it, it appeared to be drying out slightly but no mold, no bacteria.
