Metabolites? (Pic)

Hey all, I am just starting my consolidation period on what is shaping up to be my first successful grow with an MS syringe of "Mazatapec" purchased from a sponsor. This pic shows a couple of yellow patches that had appeared at the bottom of one of my BRF jars. They disappeared after a coupled days, once the substrate was colonized. I am not particularly concerned about it; everything looks fine now. I am just curious about what you all might think it is. When I first saw them I had myself convinced that it was a bacterial infection.

Also, I had a patch of green in one of my jars which was just smaller than a dime. It has since been overgrown with mycelium. I was going to take a pic but there is no point. I could barely tell where it was anymore. Should I get rid of this jar?

The temps have been kinda cool actually; between 70-73F. I suppose I could put that other cake out in the garden and see what happens. I guess it's not worth risking green mold sporulating in my SGFC.

Metabolites are a sign your myc is fighting off contaminates. They are basically the immune system of the myc, making the environment hostile for competitors.70-73 is a bit on the lower side, so that would not cause metabolites. And from the looks I would say you have somethin goin on, possibly bacteria. MAybe the myc will recover, maybe not. Just depends on what its fighting. If its a colony of trich, good luck. Watch for invitro fruits as a sure sign of contaminates. Uncontaminated jars will sit for a long time before fruiting in the jar IME, a good 2 weeks after 100%, generally drying out before fruiting if its clean.
-------------------- Everything I have said, may say, will say, am thinking about saying and/or thinking/typing/dreaming/writing is in all likelyhood made up and has no factual basis in reality whatsoever, and is likely all plagiarized and copy pasted straight from someone else, so get mad at them . Just a warning

Cool, man. Thanks. I'll just keep my eyes on it. Right now it looks clean. I guess we shall see in a couple of weeks!
