Pin on glass(Picture)
    #20266174 - 07/13/14 09:52 AM (10 years, 6 months ago)

So i birthed 4 other cakes the other day and left one in the jar and this is what happened.. A pin is growing on the side of the glass not attached to the cake.. Has this happened to anyone else?

It's pretty common in my experience if it's 100% colonized I'd go ahead and birth it. I've birthed cakes about four or five days after just to give them a little more time to consolidate. I'm sure somebody else will step in and say if I'm wrong though

let the mycelium finish it's colonization and consolidation, only then i'd advise you to birth the cake. pinning in vitro is okay!
