Hey guys, found a new MEGA patch today but all was dead and dried. Was wondering if any of these are eatable or salvageable?
what should i do with all the ones like this? Are they in any way eatable or Could I use this extraction method?http://www.shroomery.org/6274/Mushroom-Extract. if not should i make a smoothie out of them and spray the love around or are they too dry? Thanks

So this is my first post on the site. Small introduction. I lived in SW Oregon for 2 years and while there got into the hobby/job of picking edible mushrooms to sell to local buyers. I mainly picked Chanterelles but also became familiar with Boletes, Hedghogs, Chicken and Hen of the woods among others. I loved it and its still one of my favorite outdoor hobbies. Recently after moving back to Florida I was introduced to(and fell in love with) Active mushrooms and once I found how hard it was to find someone with them and learned of my areas abundance I decided it couldn't be that hard to find them and I was already comfortable picking mushrooms. So after some jeans killed by barbwire, run ins with territorial bulls, very very muddy shoes, near miss with law enforcement, and many other interesting adventures here is my first contribution to the site. Some pictures of my finds!!! Hope you guys enjoy everyone seems really involved and awesome.
My first find. Me and my partner decided to eat one each to celebrate and were surprised to find that we actually tripped a little bit.

My second time finding cubes. I finally found a really good field but it was towards the end of the day I had the bad luck of a cop deciding to run radar right next to the field. He definitely wasn't looking for anyone picking shrooms but I decided to get out of there anyways and I only got to search 1/20th of the field.

The next day I went back and it was raining and a lot of the mushrooms were filled with water and almost all were in the end stages of development but I assure you they all still did the trick! The field is great but the only downfall is that amongst the 20-25 cows 6 are bulls with massive horns and every time i get halfway across the field they all start trotting directly at me. If I don't start walking away quickly they gain speed... Any tips on this?

Ill be putting up some more pictures of the pans I found. I'm having difficulty figuring out what kinds of pans I'm picking and would really like to eat some fresh pans!

Excellent post Trickster008 and welcome to the forum!
Don't mind the cattle much, just keep a good distance. Most of the time they just think you're there to feed them. I work around them most weeks and haven't ever had any trouble.

everything is fine- they both just got charged with "county ordinance violations" and for obvious reasons haven't been out and about after that little scare. They're very lucky.

So I have found a ton of mushrooms that I believe to be pans o just Dont know what kind of pans. Here's a pic of 1 I've found. I've noticed I've found a lot with darker stems like a brown or red and then a lot of them have whitish stems but I never get a clear blue bruising like on my cubes.

I also found these

I've looked through countless pan cyan pics on here and find so many different ones. If anyone has a very good guideline link please shoot it my way!

Nice finds guys! This is my first post since my one and only hunt last season; I went out today to a field I haven't checked the past 3 seasons [it got too popular/known and became an easy way to get picked up by the authorities... without finding any fruits] and I was very pleased to pull about an ounce dry of some real nice Cubes. The day before I went to the usual spot which is a much larger piece of land. I spent 5 or 6 hours hiking through swamps and found about 43 grams dry... The hunt today was much more pleasant, much drier, not as hot, and not nearly as tiring. It reminded me of how fun hunting can be! both trips were also great for nature-bonding time... Felt so good to be baking under the sun isolated from man's society...!!! Check out some photos

Can anyone help me ID the mushies i've photographed that aren't Psilocybe cubensis or Cyan? The more and more I hunt the more enamored I become with all fungi; Id love to know the names/attributes of all the local species!
Also check out some awesome cow bones I piled up that were scattered around, some feathers I found, as well as encounters with a wild Ekans and Deerling!
