Snow White Spores, Cinemon Caps

:mushroom2: Found this cluster of mush growing under a tree in the front yard.


  Cap Details
      -Smooth and feel leathery
      -Wavy, very wavy, maybe from the rain
      -Dark Brownm/Cinemon color, spotted
      -4.5 - 6.5 cm across

  Gill Details
      -Feel loose and waxy, also smooth
      -Attached
      -Light tan/cinemon
      -Blue/green spots have shown up on parts of the gills

  Stem Details
      -Thick/.9 - 1.0 cm across
      -Grow almost straight up/slight curve
      -Smooth/Leathery
      -A slite discoleration on parts/Bluish/Purple

  Spore Print
      -Snow White

Those look like very nice specimens of Honey Mushrooms (Armillaria). They are edible if well cooked.

they appear to be one of the armillaria[sp?] species collectively refered to as honey mushrooms.

i di not have a guide here so i can not check to be sure but i'm sure someone will be able to help.
