Rye Grain casing help

so i inoculated 4 pint rye jars with B+ and after about 3 weeks one was fully colonized, the other 3 are lagging behind,
i did a G2G transfer with the finished jar to a bunch of open mouth half pint jars ( was all i had ) and within a week they are almost fully colonized
heres the one pint jar

and one of the half pint jars

So i just constructed my fruiting chamberGreenhouseand i wanna test it out with only two trays, i picked these up at the dollar store, they are about 2 inches deep, i covered the clear sides with black duct tape (to prevent side pinning)

could i get away with doing a mini 50/50 coir/vermiculite fruit with say a half pint per tray? the dimensions are 6x6 and 2 inched deep, what kinda yeild can i expect?
so many different opinions on here, can someone point me to a good casing tek for RYE?

The tape wont prevent side pinning and why couldn't you use coir/verm as a bulk substrate with your grains? Jiffy mix makes a pretty good casing layer.

Would the black tape not prevent side pinning because it's on the outside and the clear plastic will transmit light?

Those jars are gross and your syringe is contaminated. Sorry.
Have you thought about trying agar?

Haiku time!
Metabolites pool in a jar with dark, wet grains. Your syringe is fucked.

That's not the contaminated syringe I'm talking about, buddy. I'm talking about the one you used to inoculate.
I completely agree about squirting shit at people from syringes, and especially about squirting significant others with them. It's the best kind of fun. Nowhere is safe with that kind of accuracy and power.

That is the bac look for sure.
I've had a few myself
Do what van says and go to agar my friend
