Not a problem man, I wanna see everyone with their own mushrooms.
Your doing good man I know there is a lot of crazy info on this website, it used to be even worse on the main page...like ALOT worse, all kinds of outdated and incorrect info.
Just read a lot and try to read newer posts and watch for the guys that obviously know what their doing, check out people's post count and register date when they give info(not perfect by any means but it's gives you a starting idea about their experience level) check out their ratings and also check out their gallery's of pics if they have them to see what they are about.
And just enjoy it, a lot of waiting involved but it gets better and once you have a few staggered projects all going (especially with agar work) you always have something to check on or some work to do or fruits to harvest

ill keep up the reading, seems like there's always something new to learn about in this hobby! im going to have to check out the mycology section. that may even be a career path to go into. i read up on a few sciency articles on how mushrooms are being trained to break down oil and other non organic materials. pretty interesting!! and working in a lab with some mushies wouldn't be too bad! im going to school for my bachelors in biology, followed by a masters, currently in microbiology! and funny enough, we are learning about proper sterilization methods and how to properly inoculate and colonize bacteria! rigt up my alley at the moment (: haha

does anyone know about inoculating tryptic soy broth with spores? i was just going to squirt in the remaining 1cc from one of my syringes into the vial. its only a 9 ml vial but i could then use it to colonize something else. my bio teacher said that the solution is extremely nutritious and just about anything would grow inside of it!
