I generally use about 5 cups per spawn bag. I think for me it was about a little over a pound and a half. Those things plump up nice.

yeah i found out the wood pellets i have are made of pine, so im looking for some new substrate material, but yeah that bag got HUGE after i PCed it.

i added spawn to one, to see if the Medi oysters will still spawn.

Ok so i transferred spawn to one bag of wood pellets because i wasnt sure how it would work because the pellets are Southern Pine -.-

But i threw some oyster spawn in there and its not slowing down one bit, so today i broke the 10lb bags i had down into 5 lb bags, boiling water now , then will pressure cook this stuff... tomarrow ill be ready to transfer =D
