Lots of low growing, bent fruits

On 2nd flush. Know what this means?
They've taken a while, my other tub spawned at same time has just been prepped for 3rd flush. For a few days this tub looked stalled out, like the mushrooms weren't growing at all.
Now there's growth but a lot of them have grown almost sideways, staying close to the substrate, and others looked like they were growing straight and then started flopping over and growing sideways.
My tote doesn't have a clear lid so I shine light through the side, but that had no effect like this on this tubs first flush or the 2 full flushes from my other tub. Help please!

Pics man...are the mushrooms real thin and scraggly? Sometimes lack of FAE creates long skinny fruits that grow all weird directions

They don't really follow the light like that, they grow against gravity they know which way is up, light may have a slight effect but it won't make them all grow sideways if you only light from the side

Ive read light may affect the cap direction but the stalk usually grows against gravity. Although ive had mushrooms grow out horizontally off the cake with the light above the SGFC, the caps would point upwards when mature, a couple almost perfectly parallel with the horizontal stalk.

Yea I've had that happen too
I've just never seen a tub or tray with all the fruits growing at an angle towards a light on the side...it'd be cool though, like a nuclear blast still frame

That is erroneous. They're not plants. They weren't all growing in the same direction.
Harvested now, so no pics. But there were 'low lying' ones with caps pointed up, and ones that grew straight up and then bent, with caps facing the bent direction. The latter could have been looking for fresh air.

Sometimes it will.......

Later, as they develop into actual mushrooms, they will orient their caps towards a light source to derive as much energy from it as possible. They don't use light to 'know which way to grow' but rather turn towards it to get as much as possible. RR

What you have heard me say many times is mushrooms don't need light to "tell them" which way to grow, as mushrooms grown in total darkness will grow straight up, opposite gravity. RR

I can't find it, but there is a post where RR shows mushrooms basically turning upside down while following the light.
