Yea.. they're getting fuzzy feet. But I've dialed in the monotub properly. The top holes are as loose as they can be. I'm thinking about leaving one of them open now.

Had something similar on one of my trays (dry verm on top) this morning but almost over the whole tray and most of it black, immediately toss it cause thought it's contam because of the black. Unfortunatly I forgot to make a image. But from what I wrote, was I right to get rid of it?

They're a little small for me to be able to tell whether they have fuzzy feet or they're just sitting in tomentose mycelium.
The mycelium on the liner is so rhizomorphic because there aren't any nutrients on the liner. Mycelium becomes more rhizomorphic in the absence of nutrients so that it can grow outward faster to find a source of nutrition. It's not because of this strain's genetics. If you took a sample of that rhizo growth and put it on nutritious agar it would grow fuzzy again.

Very well said, I have grown many tubs now and rhizo on the liner is very normal. It's always reaching for more nutrients. I have found that myc grows so much faster on the edges. I try to keep my casing a little thicker around the edges of my monotubs so that I can get a pretty even pinset. Isn't myc a wonderful thing
