Concern with parent jar during G2G

I have 3 jars at 99% colonized, and i just prepped 3 more qt jars. My plan was to use one of the colonized jars to G2G into the 3 just prepped jars. How long of a window do i have till i would have to spawn the 3 original jars? or just the one jar that i have to break up? since one of them is going to get shocked due to having to break it up to be able to transfer. Should i have my substrate already pasteurized before i do the G2G or can the one jar be alright for a day or two until i get the substrate pasteurized so i can spawn the first 3 jars?

LOL!
ok from the 3 colonized jars, i want to use one, and take about 2 tablespoons of colonized popcorn (im growing on popcorn) for each of the new jars that i have steam sterilized, then use what is left over of the jar i took the spawn out of plus the two other colonized jars andd use those 3 to start my tub, while i have 3 jars that willl begin colonizing for my next tub.
Are you saying that i could G2G to the 3 new jars and wait till those jars colonize 100% and spawn all 6 jars together? wont the 3 original jars be at risk for contamination being in those jars until the 3 new jars are colonizing?

it depends how big ur tub is and what spawn ratio u want. i think i get what u mean, and no ur not at risk, if u put those two remaining jars + the extra from the g2g jar in fridge till the newest g2g jars are ready (if u wanna spawn all 6 together) if u wanna start two tubs, 1 tub having 2.5 qts, and the next tub having 3 qts, thats ok too, but understand that 2.5-3qts per 66 qt tote is a lower than normal spawn ratio for regular 66qt tubs, especially if u r using coir. u may want to do 2x 27 qt tubs, each tub having btw 2.5-3 qts of spawn this is all assuming u r using qt jars, also if u steam sterilizing popcorn, thats pretty hard i would think, if u using qts. those grains are thick dude. it takes longer than smaller grains to reach internal temp, and sustain it, for the kind of sterilization that is ideal for grains. if this reply does not make sense, my bad, but then please clarify what exactly, besides popcorn, u are working with

oh okay i get it now you could go that way (skip the spoon just pour it out) but yes it would be no problem for your jars to sit colonized for aweek or so

Thanks cronicr, and blindingleaf, i understood!
I presoak the jars for 24-48 hours, changing the water whenever it gets really murky n stinky, then i put it on a low boli for 60 minutes until the kernal is fully hydrated, i usually sccop one or two out to bitein them to see how they look, must evry time i can easily bite right through them and there is no solid white starchyness in the core, then they are dried off and THEN is when i steam sterilize for 90 minutes. Hopefully that is enough and ive seen many ppl on shroomery being successful so we will see, as i have not gotten any fruits yet in my experience, so we will just have to wait and see.
Cronicr are u saying that its ok if i dont put them in the fridge, and just let them chill tilll the 3 new jars are fully colonized? Also can i just shake off the top layer so i dont disturb whats at the bottom of the jar as to not shock the mycelium so much, so its less stressful to recuperate. Blindingleaf, my tub is only 12 gallons, so 48 qts. and yea, just working with popcorn.
Oh aand a question to add..the three new jars i have just pre boiled them to hydrate the kernals, and i have not yet done the G2G transfer, so they still have to be sterilized. My guess is that those jars are already at risk to use even if i do steam sterilize. are they still usable or should i toss then and start with a new bag of popcorn? I didnt think about putting them in the fridge till i do sterilize them and g2g transfer.
Also, i use popcorn cause its the easiest grain to get a hold of, and i dont like doing pf tek lol
edit: no spoon
