SGFC, fanning and misting? and Lid?

Hi all, My small tubs are almost colonized! I have the perlite, and the container, and I have the lid. My question is, do I keep the lid on the SGFC to help maintain humidity? Do holes go in the lid of the SGFC as well?
As far as fanning and misting, I am gonna be filling a decent amount of the tub with Perlite, so if the lid is on and there are holes on it, is that enough humidity? I'm at work and school, and I see some people saying they have to mist and fan 6 times a day.
I bought one of these,
http://www.shroomery.org/10156/Automated-Humid-Air-and-Air-Exchanger-Tek-ToadStoolFool
Would that be enough humidity in combination with the perlite? I'd think so. I can keep a fan pointing in the general direction of the tub as well to keep air moving but the AC in my building keeps the temp at 72-75 the whole time and the air is always circulating nicely.
Thanks for any help.
TLDR Plan
Lots of holes all over tub
Lots of holes (Not as many as the sides) on lid of tub
Mister/Reptile Humidifier/Air pump going through lid
Perlite
Boom?

monotubs dont go in sgfc's, they hold their own moisture. but if you meant a tray or something similar, This is how to build and maintain a proper SGFC
Try to return that thing you bought if you can, there's no need for it in a sgfc.

They are two tupperware trays, and one medium sized/large one. Each about 4 inches deep. And the return system won't help with FAE or humidity? It should maintain it no? I bought it two months back in anticipation for this so no returning it. I work so I want to do everything I can to make sure the myc is getting the air and moisture it needs.

If the Tupperware trays are clear, mushrooms will form all over it, the sides, bottom.

The clarity of the trays has no bearing on side pins. The substrate shrinks away from the sides and creates a good micro-climate for pins to form.
You can put small trays in a SGFC. Some people even birth them like cakes.

4" deep is a lot for a tray though, I usually do around 2". But still, a sgfc is made to make it on its own so it will be perfect for you and your work schedule.

Alright thanks! Is there anything I can do at this point for the trays/containers? And uh oh, side pins, is that bad? I've had it happen on a kit I owned, I'll also tape the sides with duct tape to keep the light out of the side I suppose.

not much to do but wait. tape on the outside dont do much for side pins. its not the light its the micro climate btw the sub and tub wall. if you havent used a liner yet theres nothing to do, side pins is just annoying to harvest.
buy a 6500k light if you havent already prep some extra coir+verm to use as a casing layer at 100% colonization

1/4" holes two inches apart in a grid pattern on ALL six sides. Including lid and bottom.
Elevate the SGFC a couple inches so air can travel underneath.
I used a air pump and a SGFC before as a noob and it dried the cakes out incredibly fast btw.
make sure theres at LEAST 3 inches of perlite in your SGFC a little bit wont do.

I was going to do 4-5 inches in perlite!
And if I don't need the pump I won't use it then just thought it might help. I should also add it's in my closet, not crammed in a space but on the upper shelf. Closet isn't stuffy so I thought maybe it would still work ok.
I have a 34W Cool White bulb I've been using on my last grow and it worked fine. I think above 5k it's considered a "cool" color right?
Thanks for all your help again!

4-5" perlite is recommended!
cool white is 2700k isnt it? you really should get a 6500k. if it is 5000k the one you already have that's fine as well!
just make sure to get the sgfc elevated and have some room on all sides not stacked against a wall!
closets arent really that good..

Doesn't matter, both are 6500k.
If it's going to be in a closet full time, you can use that air exchanger to help with airflow in the closet. Humidifier plus perlite should be fine, although it's a good idea to mist a couple times a day as well just to help directly hydrate the substrate. Don't point a fan at the SGFC. Roger Rabbit has told us it messes with the normal air currents and dries out too fast.

Ok great I'll leave the fan out of it and put the air exchanger/humidiifier in!
Thanks again for all of your help.

Humidifier can go in the SGFC. Air exchanger can go in the closet, just to exchange air from the closet with air from the room, don't put it in the SGFC

Hmm I'll look to see how that's gonna work. There is the aquarium pump that plugs into the humidifier, so I'll leave that outside. Only thing that actually goes in the SGFC is the long tube that comes with it to disperse the water.
