untreated high blood pressure and shrooms?

Hi all, i know this was covered few times before but all posts i seen spoke about people that take meds for it.
but I, as the subject says, i got high blood pressure, around 98/137 and I don't take any meds for it. it is due to sitting job and high stress and stupid amounts of espresso coffee. i have controlled it before with simple walking, if i walk my dogs every day for couple of weeks BP goes down to normal levels so the question is, does psilocybe subaeruginosa push BP up in small doses (1g-2g dry but with use of lemon tek) and if so by how much would one expect (knowing that everyone is different).
really got urge to go for it but not at cost of heart attack or stroke
i guess i have great motivation to get out more (if staying alive and healthy isn't enough) but would love to hear if there is someone in same position.
TIA

Do you mean 137/98?
According to http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/14615876 it says there is a moderate blood pressure increase but only around the 60 minute mark after dosing for the High Dose group (during the come up) but it's conclusion to the study was "Our study provided no cause for concern that PY is hazardous with respect to somatic health."
Now considering this study was with "healthy individuals" I would say that you would MOST LIKELY be safe during a low-medium dose trip, but I would mention that during the trip you will most likely be worrying about your blood pressure. That worry about your health during a trip COULD lead to you having a panic/anxiety attack which would further increase your higher blood pressure.
So I guess what I would say would be too get that blood pressure under control as a bottom number that high is pretty bad for your health. I would suggest a low carb diet, cutting down on the coffee, and some mild cardio like walking your dogs. In a couple months you should be clear for take-off :P

yes 137/98
that is very good prediction about me getting anxiety attack, i was thinking i would be ok especially with small dose IF i didn't put that question in front of myself first, now i can see this being my main focus during trip.... (me=idiot)
i know i can drag it down to normal in two weeks, i done it before in less time. my dogs going to love this extra walks
EDIT: oh and thanks for sharing your thoughts on the topic

Make sure your Doc's got you on a higher dosage of meds for your BP. often she he will give you bare minimum in attempt to avoid negative side effects for you, I gotta say that personally I never had any! and as you described - extended and vigorous exercise works brilliant for lowering BP. Also eating fuck all for a couple of days will drastically drop BP, and in addition it don't half shorten the come up as well as elevating 'the high'... the body's starving and screaming for sustenance, and its ready and waiting to get stuck in to what ever's available, even if it happens to be only mushroom tea

i don't believe in doctors sure if there was other reason for my BP i would go for the meds but i know it is all to do with my lifestyle, weight, and work/life related stress but like you said brisk walk up the hill for an hour a day and in week i be back to 120/80

Just as an anecdotal data point: I have about 135/85 on average, but occasionally much higher systolic. A couple of years ago I measured my blood pressure during a trip, out of curiosity. Earlier the same day I had 144/86, and it changed to 144/97 about half an hour after ingestion and 159/101 one hour later. I sort of forgot to measure it again after that...
The trip was about level 3-4 on cubensis.
Next morning it was 137/88.
No medication involved.
After what I have read since, these changes are within the range of what has been measured in clinical experiments, which I assume involve a quite different setting.

I have had about the same hypertension and either exercise or mediation can control it... Or Meds
You should be fine... Don't go high dose until you get it under control
Probably want to mediate or something low key on the come up... For your stress and worry not BP
Peace

If you are still concerned...take a half a viagra...that is a vaso-dilator and will lower your blood pressure to more normal levels.

It's all about set and setting if you're prone to high blood pressure and worried about a heart attack trip in a 100% comfortable setting
