Should I use an incubator??
    #2023976 - 10/19/03 09:59 PM (20 years, 11 months ago)

My jars have been at a pretty low temperature 69 degrees to 75 degrees at times , mostly 69 now. colonization started and spread through most of my jars (some more than others) and they are all looking healthy till now but growth has slowed by a lot and I really haven't noticed any at all in the past few days.

I was wondering if making and placing them in an incubator now would make a difference or be bad for the jars...if the sudden temperature change would cause them to pin early or if i should have any worries. Otherwise, if I am to put them in the incubator, the growth should be quickened...right?

get some air exchange in your jars, that helps jars to finish. but yeah you should place them in the incubator

you can use a heating pad too for cheaper. You can get a pretty good sized one for 15 bucks at target-walmart. I've never had much problem with colonization with the P.cubensis Mycelia. Pan Cyan Mycelium sometimes requires a heating pad though atleast for me...and it gets in the upper 60's in my closet.

I just stick the jars in boxes in my closet and have a small space heater running in there.

I spent 15 bucks on a fish tank heater and maybe 5 on rubbermaid boxes to build my incubator, and it holds probably 20 jars, hell more if you used bigger boxes. More than a heating pad I'd guess. Anyway I'm into my 2nd grow attempt and said fug it Im not going to half ass anything, and went ahead and built an incbator(as opposed to hoping they would grow fine at room temp).

Hmmmm.....should you use a incubator. Lets see.

Maby.

Attach the two together so one won?t float and you?ll get water further up the sides for better heating.

If you use one of these I find that putting a small water pump stirs things up so it doesn?t just heat up from the bottom near the heater up.

A little overkill Magash. Just put those muthafuckaz in a warm closet and good results will follow.

Your jars will still colonize in those temps but get them in an incubator and speed up the process. 84-86 F is perfect

Will stacking up the jars like that make some hotter than others like the ones on the bottom or does that not matter?

It use to till I added the water pump. Stirs the water so it heats the jars from all sides but the top.

all around the marijuana bush, magash lays some mouse traps
magash stop for a photo op
pop goes that raaa aaaats

or....

ring around the weed plant

ashes to ashes the rats go down

if you would like to make some dances to these songs feel free and i?ll see if magash approves of the choreography.

Hmmmmmmm  Will give a little time to the choreography......  Maybe something something retro.....
Like the stupid "hop skip" in place which is all you could do to "dance music" in the 80's  .

Better yet I'll join ya and  sing one of those one hit wonders..... arhgggggggg

"Come on Magash"

"Come on you rats I mean what i say
At this time I've told you, to stay away
With you caught in my traps, thoughts I confess
Verge on happiness
Ah what a nasty mess!"

Here's one that applies
