To anyone who thinks the world will end
    #2023627 - 10/19/03 07:43 PM (20 years, 5 months ago)

This is
both
true and false,
just like
every other
objective statement.
The world
is ending,
but only the world
that we have known.
What is happening now-
whether you realize it
or not,
is the biggest thing
on this planet
that
our species has memory of.
We are all going
through a transformation
that is being catalyzed
by the very substances
we ingest
harmonizing our consciousness
into a group-mind level
and preparing us
for something
that none of us could do alone.
This experiment
has come to a decisive point.
Not an end to the experiment,
but an end to the set of variables
that have restricted
us for the past 26,000 years;
and the beginning
of a new set of rules.
I hope you're paying attention.
Because the place we are going to
is a place that will not accept
all that what we have known as 'truth' or 'reality'.

I'm praying this whole ascencion thing will happen, but a lot of the things that were predicted by the people preaching this stuff haven't happened yet.

It's still not fast enough for me

I feel like I've been "prepared" for a change for so long now, I don't know what else to do but sit and wait.

When people stop fearing each other and start uniting in evolution's name, then and only then will a change in consciousness occur, globally. We have been programmed to fear each other, afraid to voice our opinions and thoughts, even in a society which proudly boasts freedom to do so. We have largely forgotten just what freedom really is, and what of it that we have left to exercise. What I'm trying to say is, we must stop sitting around and waiting for this to happen. We need to get off our computers, organize physically as well as mentally, and stand up for what we know is right and just. People are afraid to go out of their house because Big Brother makes it seem there is no chance against Him. Millions sit around in hopelessness, and are atrophied by their cynicism.
Don't be afraid to act upon your intuition that
there is a better way to live and experience reality,
and
this is not it.

That's what you believe, I guess.

I have no reason to assume that it's nothing more than fairy tales.

I coldn't have said that better

But I am no leader. I know where my place will be, though not what my task will be. I'm a helper.

So for now is it enough that I work on those around me? To help them see the things I see. Help them to help themselves. Most importantly help them to prepare as well.

I have a gut feeling that whatever happens will happen very quickly. Especially if mass-conciousness is involved. A small minority will grow slowly, but once it reaches the breaking-point I think things will progress to completion almost immediately. I also think that whatever change is to come can not come for anyone (at least not completely) until it is time for everyone.

Thus preparation is essential. When enough of us are prepared for a change, the rest will change with us. I think :smirk:

I agree with much of what you just said. Much of it I disagree with.

Im just curious. In your idea.. does everyone get to experience this place, this awareness? What happens to the dead? or the corrupt?

What happens to those that refuse to accept change? There have been many that have refused for all of human existance, so it isnt far fetched to think that some will not.. given the above scenario.

Well either they would be "left behind" in some way, or the change itself could be impossible to refuse in some way.

It's not just what I believe. Look at history itself (take as good a look as inherently flawed human documentation allows..)

According to computer scientist Dr. Jacques Vallee, information is now doubling every 18 months.

Excerpt from Robert Anton Wilson's 'Cosmic Trigger: Volume 2': (cuz he sums it up nicely)

"Nearly four billion years of evolution to get to the first tool. Almost four million years to arrive at the information density of Rome in 1 A.D. Only one-and-a-half thousand years for information to double and for the West to arrive at Leonardo, the high point of Renaissance and the dawning of Protestantism. Two-and-a-half centuries for the next doubling, the rise of Industrialism, the birth of Democracy -- and the radical supra-democratic heresies of socialism, anarchism, feminism...

Only six years for the doubling of information between 1967 and 1973.

Even then, nobody I knew personally had a home computer. Today everybody I know has a home computer.

We are in what Alvin Toffler calls the Third Wave -- Information Civilization. If Vallee is right about information doubling every 18 months, and Gordon is right about fractals increasing where information flow increases, then everything must become steadily more unpredictable from here on -- more "chaotic" in the mathematical sense.

That "chaos" may be expressed as breakdown and violence, such as we are seeing in the current rumble [Persian Gulf War, 1991] between Goddam Insane and Huge Berserk Rebel Warthog. In the doubling of information between 1900 and 1950, we went through a World Depression and two World Wars.

The "chaos" may, however, be expressed instead as a rapid acceleration toward a more stable and coherent world. After the democratic Revolutions of the late 18th Century, Europe settled into peace and steady progress for nearly a hundred years.

The "chaos" is most likely leading us to social transformations that none of us can foresee with more than foggy approximation. I think it will include economic collapse and economic recovery, space colonization, longevity, Bucky's World Energy Grid, and breakthroughs in nanotechnology that will literally make the most advanced scientific gadgets "as cheap as dirt."

Is this information-acceleration a Mandelbrot fractal, as Terrence McKenna claims? Will we reach a point in 2012 where information doubles a million times a second?"

Psilokitten- IMO, no, not everyone will experience it, just the majority. I can barely imagine a world in which every being experiences the same Reality in harmony with each other and the Reality itself. Can you?
But that doesn't make it impossible..

I'm looking for a way out, just like everybody else. I by no means have it, yet- but I can feel it in the air, taste it in the water, and sense it in the eyes of the new children being born into this world.
I'm beginning to think that the way out is in, and that if we all go IN, we will come OUT on the other side of what is commonly referred to as "Reality".

I started running two months ago

It took me one hour to run 2 miles...
A week later it only took half an hour...
A week after that it took fifteen minutes...
Soon I will be running ten million miles a second...
The path I will run on will be spiral...
I will run into a higher conscious density...
We will all run together...

be carefull with that. if you find a cliff in your mind, dont jump, you may think that if you are in your mind, you can fly, right? Wrong. you will fall. just my personal experience. just my two cents.

Change on a global scale can happen if you know what you want to change and you know how to change it. two things that are suprisingly (and sadly) not common knowledge.

Certainly we're advancing quite quickly, and it is increasing exponentially.

Human nature and behaviour however, has yet to show any change:

"That "chaos" may be expressed as breakdown and violence, such as we are seeing in the current rumble [Persian Gulf War, 1991] between Goddam Insane and Huge Berserk Rebel Warthog. In the doubling of information between 1900 and 1950, we went through a World Depression and two World Wars. "

The "current rumble" is a relatively small war. We saw dozens of these in the past century, and plenty more in the distant past. There isn't much that is new or special about this particular war.

Maybe it will lead to our extinction, maybe we'll be on the moon in a few years. Maybe we'll all be playing really, really badass video games.

As for some global shift in conciouness in 2012, I see no evidence.

"Gordon is right about fractals increasing where information flow increases"

What does that mean? How does a fractal "increase"?

What happens to those people that dont?

Do we all just mysteriously ascend to somewhere away from them?

I truly cant imagine a reality when everyone thinks the same thing of their own free will.
