Pseudocraterellus subundulatus? I like better Pseudocraterellus sinuosus sensu auct amer.

I think they look a long ways from Polyozellus multuplex. I'd say Pseudocraterellus species are at least as rare

Funny thing about that... They were in my usual black trumpet habitat... Not a pine tree in sight. Beech/Oak dominated forest, sandy steep riverbanks, lots of moss. This could shed light on your buddy's "blue trumpet" finds... Looks like we've got another trumpet variety here to ponder. What do we call 'em? Grey trumpets?

I've never seen these before and pulled that name from an old book. Your probably right,you know your mushrooms. I see a shiny badge in your future!
