Substrate Bag colonization
    #20216200 - 07/02/14 06:46 PM (10 years, 6 months ago)

Hey everyone I currently have a substrate bag (poo wbs verm grounds kelp) that is near 100% completion.

A concern that I have is not all of my sub is colonizing. There are a few wbs kernels that have not turned white. They are on the top.

Is it safe to assume that its okay to fruit and that the top layer has dried out?

It is very white

I will post photos soon.

This is my first time successfully getting to this phase. How should it be fruited? My thoughts were to leave it in the bag and expose it to light.

The first bag I tried showed green mold after a few days. I DID NOT flame sterilize my needle during innoc.

The lc appeared about 3 days before the green mold spores. The lc is still growing but so is the mold. Thus the mold was introduced during innoc,??

Just trying to be thorough for all other noons.

you can leave it in the bag or cut the bag close to sub level and throw a little casing on and chuck it in the sgfc

Is green mold usually from innoc?

If I leave it in the bag do I open it up to allow FAE

I appreciate your help. So your saying that the Lc was clean until the dirty syringe infected it? I tossed out the lc.

Did you open the bags before or after the first flush? Some teks suggest either/or. I'm thinking sunlight till the first flush
