Liquid Culture in Grain Bags

I had a lot of liquid culture, and a 60cc, wide-gauge leur-lock syringe. Also, 10 one-pound rye berry bags.
Now, I just have 10 one-pound rye berry bags willed with liquid culture.
I used about 60ccs every three bags. I read you could use a lot more, if you want. But I also read somewhere something about not messing up the moisture balance of the bags. So I tried to find a happy medium.
Still, I noticed the berries on the bottom of the bags seemed a little waterlogged when I was done. I redistributed the grain somewhat once I was done with all of them.
Do you think I'll have any problems? Also, any inkling how long it will be until I see some decent growth? Thanks!

It sounds like you'll run into fermentation problems with the excess liquid...

I would suggest getting some pictures so that we can see exactly how moist your bags might be...

Okay. Will do. It'll have to wait until tomorrow. But a guide on this site said you can hit up grain bags with up to 140cc. I just used about 20cc.

Okay, I'll go easier in the future. I just read on here that you can use a bunch in a bag so I thought I'd give it a go. Hopefully it hasn't ruined my bags.

well it has to be proportionate. 20 cc's would be good for maybe a 5+ lb bag...

Jeez. Now I'm really nervous I ruined ten of my bags. It'll be tomorrow morning before I can check on them. I've read of people doing a lot worse to things and them still working, just taking longer. So I'm hoping!

Just be patient bro...
Let me tell you a story. About 14 years ago, I was a young 19 years old. One day while helping my mom go through some of her old shit out in the garage that she had been toting around for ages I found something that would change my life forever. Under a few dusty cardboard boxes I ran across a strange wooden box about 3' long 18" deep and 1' tall. This box was odd to me because the top was a piece of 1/4" glass that set into a recess around the perimeter of the box. And not only that, it had two holes about 8"Diameter on one of the long sides. The inside was painted nice and white with oil paint, and laying in the bottom was a brown paperback book called Growing Wild Mushrooms: Guide to Cultivating Edible & Hallucinogenic Mushrooms. I dragged the oddity out from under the boxes, reached in and grabbed the book and then proceeded to look at my mother and ask "Dang mom, I didn't know you had this kind of stuff.". She responded "Yeah, back when I was with your dad we decided to try to grow magic mushrooms. I had granddad build that wooden glove box, but by that time our interest had already faded and it just became an obscure keepsake.". Naturally I said what? "Can I have it?", at which she obliged to. So at that point in life, mycology and mushroom cultivation was introduced to me. I readily made a plan to enter into this hobby with heart. And in doing so, I started searching the then fledgling internet to almost no avail. I'm not sure if this wonderful site was available at that time, but I did come across the ol Psilocybe Fanaticus website and first learned of the PF Cake TEK that is still alive and well today. Having the recipe for PF cakes I went to work right away. I got some 1/2 pint jars and some brown rice(that I crushed up into a course powder with a food processor) some verm and away I went. I didn't realize the learning curve or the proper time frames that was required and of course at that age was looking for instantaneous results. I did manage to get some nice LCs produced, which I then used to innoc my PF cakes, and even then was fortunate enough to get something like 14 cakes colonized stress free. It was at that point that I lost focus and patience with the whole thing. Add on top of that a gf and all the young angst and drama that ensues, and the project for the most part was discontinued. I do remember that at one point I went into my closet where my derelict collection of PF cakes was at, and to my surprise one of them had actually fruited a single little shroom which was in infancy when discovered. Moral of the story: Patience grasshopper. Good things come to those that take proper time to correctly perform any TEK...

Thanks for the inspiration.
I may have overreacted. I checked this morning, and only three of the bags had what looked like soggy grain on the bottom, and even that was only a little in each bag. I redistributed the grain and that seemed to solve the problem.
Fingers crossed!
