I'm having a water evaporation problem now.. I notice when I mist.. I wont have to mist for a day or two... and I fan at least 8 times a day for 30seconds at a time. so I misted the sides of my tub to see how long it would take the water to evaporate... 8 hours later it's still there.. so basically that's telling me I have a FAE Problem.. which is confusing because I followed the SGFC Tek.. 1/4 holes 2" all 6 sides.. soo i'm a little confused as of what to do... because i know i need that water to evaporate for it to trigger pinning... might explain why i only see one tiny little pin..

Oh and the Pin I saw yesterday, Hasn't grown much over night, Not sure how fast they do grow...

Sometimes a first flush can take like 2 weeks.  Successive flushes are generally cleaner, have bigger fruits, and are quicker from pins to fruits to spores.  Recent flushes I had all took like 2 weeks, second flush was like 4 days.  By day 5 half the second flushes are sporing all over my sub.

Run a box fan in the room not pointed directly at the tub but just moving air.  If you can get your air going in a circular pattern that's what you want.

The first stages can be quite slow. They'll speed up as they mature. Once they get past the knotting and pinning stages they mature into full fruits in almost the blink of an eye.

I guess my next question would be.. when these are done fruiting, How do I start the 2nd flush? I don't have cakes so I can't quite dunk and roll.. lol... they are in those plastic containers in the pictures I've posted.

You can dunk (For about 2 hours, NOT the 24 hours that is used with cakes), or you can increase misting to replace the moisture lost.

Just keep the rH up in the tubs, misting mostly.  You may want to readjust your poly also.  You can dunk, but misting works.  You are not going to replace or even most of the lost moisture.

well I can't really dunk it if it's inside of Tupperware lol.. but the increased misting seems more legit, and Masta, what do you mean by Poly?

Yes you can, you just pour the water into the tupperware with the substrate.

ohhhhh, that's not DUNKING lol that's drowning lol. thanks mushmagic, that actually sounds like a good idea.. so basically just put enough water on it, that it is submerged? then dump the access water out in a few hours?

Yes, maybe run some dowels or pvc thru your holes to keep the substrate submerged as it will try to float.

I'm amazed over the amount of time and effort I've put into studying everything I possibly can and trying to ask as little dumb questions as possible.. some of that being hard, most of the research I do on here involves pictures people like to delete.. but all is well, I've learned quite a lot, enough to even help other people. but still more to learn.. and lots to read..
