Cool update DiscoBiscuitsTrip
I really like the cottonmouth shot, they're so badass! Also... do you have any more photos of the fungus on the log above the water?

Looking good disco. I like all the bad ass pics. The sweet cubes perfect by them lonesome.
Praise be indeed starsheperd.
Might be my last hunt in FL for awhile so glad it was a good one

Hello, gentlemen. I haven't been on or active in a long time and haven't went hunting in just as long. I live in Pensacola right now and there aren't many fields that I know of. I'm looking to get back in the game, been having vivid cubensis dreams and been thinking about them a lot lately. I'm not asking where to look, that's an old rule of course. Just wondering if there's anyone in my area to maybe meet up or something. Anyway, nice fucking finds, guys. This seems to be a good year.
-------------------- My favorites are weeping willows, which aren't really weeping at all. They're very wispy, witty and will dance in the breeze with you. Nothing like a tree that wants to dance with you. Although it doesn't like its thin limbs being pulled at all, it absolutely LOVES it when you walk through them, letting them gently slide over your face and shoulders. If you're naked, the willow considers it to be sex. It will orgasm on your mind and you will blow dream chunks into outer space. All very fun until your neighbor sees you. -The Joekenorer

I also found my heaviest cube in a nice cluster. They are drying out as we speak. Nothing like what you got there - I need to find a bigger field lol.
Thanks Gov, Yall inspire me to hunt even harder.

I was cutting but last time out so wanna get the most out of them. Field started to show lots of promise and I think I the only one to hunt it mostly. But heading north for couple months at least so if come back season might be pretty over. So probably end up making cakes again in future. Good luck all and happy hunting. I know I enjoyed it and short but good first season. Good vibes until next time

I wonder if this matters much for cubensis. Where I'm from, we find subaeruginosa in established woodchip garden beds, and so I'm careful to not disturb the mycelium so that I can come back to the same 'spot' later on and collect more fruits. To my understanding, when looking for cubensis, you don't really have 'spots', just locations with ideal conditions or paddocks etc that have produced fruits in the past. Since they seem to grow on manure, I wouldn't expect you could go back to the exact same location next season and find fruits. Whereas I can go back to the exact same woodchip patch and find fruits multiple seasons in a row. With cubensis I imagine it more as a legitimate hunt, rather than just going to the same woodchip bed that you know has fruits in it.
I don't know if this makes much sense and I've never hunted for cubensis so excuse my ignorance. If anyone could shed some light on this that would be cool as

It makes no difference in the long run if you cut them or pull them off the manure. However, I still recommend bringing a sharp blade or scissors...who wants to eat mushrooms with large amounts of fecal matter on them?

^Cheers, I thought so. Yes... I'm fortunate not have this issue with the main species I find here in NZ!

I had heard that somewhere on here though. Thanks for the correct info. You learn something new everyday, some days you even unlearn something lol.
I use kiddie scissors . I used to just pull them but I rather be safe the sorry these days, feels a little more respectful.
