How can I pick & regrow?

Does anyone have links to any helpful articles?
I searched the internet, but I figured I'd find better information here.
How could you pick a mushroom and "replant" it? Is it possible?

Clone it on agar, then expand the mycellium either by way of G2G transfer or LC(not recommended), inoculate grain jars, let colonize, then spawn to a bulk substrate.

You can clone it by taking a tissue sample from the inside of the base of the stem (which is sterile as long as you don't touch it while you're splitting it with your fingers) and placing it to agar and then transferring away from any contams that may be present.
Obviously this should all be done infront of a flowhood or in a SAB

Hmmm thank you. what is the purpose behind letting the mycellium completely fill the jar? why can't one just put the mycellium under some compost?

You could do possibly this outside with manure but indoors it would be a mold ridden disaster. To grow indoors you need sterile spawn to prevent molds from gaining the upper hand and rampaging through the grow.

You'll have better luck grabbing some of the colonized material it was growing from and putting it in a pile of similar material outside.

Stem butts are the go. It's so easy to begin with. I've got about 25 containers going ATM. All I've used is poplar saw dust and Australian Psil Sub stem butts.
Another method Im using this year, is by placing fresh Psil Sub stem butts underneath bricks, all through out my front garden.
I do get subs growing in my garden, however this winter's growth has been disappointing( that is my garden I'm referring too). The ones that have come up I've harvest and about eight have been chomped by slugs. Unfortunate I was too late with the egg shells. The slug action is a real problem. The slugs can smell these mushrooms a mile away. I'm really p!!sed as one young Psil sub, which was only a baby had the golden yellow cap. These subs are beautiful and very glad to have the right substate of this species in my garden. I'm just waiting for my garden to explode, not this 1 to 20 growths. Another issue I have is birds. This particular black bird with a yellow beak loves to dig up garden beds to get at the mycelium. So I've had to lay bird wire around my beds.
Out in the natural habitat has been flushing heavily. It's been crazy, I'm still working on trying to get to all my spots.
If keen il post my pics! I don't want to hijack this thread and or waste time for me or you.
