Another "Did I wire my blower correctly" thread

So I am getting my LFH together and am wiring my blower, can someone who knows whats what take a look and let me know if I am right or wrong. The blower can be wired for 120 or 240, I obviously am going 120. The wiring diagram for 120 said wire the orange and red together (I think that's what it means) the white to the line (I am using the switch pictured) and wire blue and black together and then that to the line. On the other side of the switch I just plugged the black and white wires from my cord into the "line" side of the switch (from the blower went into "load") I attached the green ground wire from the cord to what I am guessing is the green grounding screw on the switch. there was what i am guessing is labeled as a ground screw inside the wiring box on the blower, should I run the ground to that or go from that to the switch, and wire the cord ground into the same spot?

I can't figure it out. Is the green/yellow wire from the motor to the housing the ground wire for the fan or do you have it in the picture? I don't see mention of it in the schematic either.

If you have 115v line in then yes. It looks correct to me.
If you have 240v going in, then no.
do you know what your hooking into? 110 or 220?

You've got it wired right for 120V.
Extend the green wire from the switch bracket to the chassis of the blower. That's the path to ground if something shorts out so it will trip the breaker.
Put that switch in an electrical box or get rid of it. You can wire the blower directly to the power cord and then just plug it in when you need it.
I don't have a new hobby. It's more of a late-life career change. RR

Awesome thanks man, I want the switch so i don't have to unplug it as where its going the plug is kind of a pain in the ass to get to so i decided on a switch. My electricity situation in my lab leaves something to be desired for sure. As far as the ground, inside the distro box there is a screw with a ground label sticker on it, can I just wire it to there from the switch?
Also on an aside, congrats on the new path, and as soon as a I saw the career change mentioned it took me about one second to know what it was and congrats, one of the best times of my life was Growing in Oakland, wish you the best. I wish I lived closer as I would for sure take the culture library. I am starting up an edibles lab to sell at the local farmers market and a couple small restaurants friends are running. I don't know if I would be good enough tho, that is a daunting task taking RR's personal culture library. I hope someone with the skills and appreciation for the gift will get it and it will not be lost.

Yes, the green screw into the chassis on the blower is to attach the ground to. The purpose is to have all metal parts in the system bonded to each other and then grounded via the green wire on your power plug. RR
