I know of four online vendors that have pulled them in favour of fresh mushrooms because of economical sense (less bang for the buck). My experience being the same. So that probably answers the main point of your question. But I agree with Anno.

Truffs are good, had em once. Had this unpleasant metallic aftertaste in my mouth after eating them.
Your dealer is bound to say they are good, ive only ever heard a dealer say that his gear wasnt great once and this guy is just a fool

lol, it was a weird experience. They looked and tasted like chopped almonds, waited an hour - not much (at this point i was getting suspicious of whether or not they had actually been chopepd almonds) a friend had taken a bag with me (we both took 6g dried) and was reporting something (although it was her first trip) i got to a friend house and ate 40 large liberties to try and make myself feel better, then the fun started, the libs must have set the truffles off or something because i gotthe most mind bending high ever. You could actually feel the 2 different highs intermingling, my mind was the cosmos, at one point i actually felt as if i was falling through the void. If you can get your hands on these people i suggest you try them theey rock

Hi Cypher. that grubby wee headshop in north street was selling kits as well.Bought my kits online grew 4 of them and have quite a stash. But as Xenophobic points out above UK vendors are selling fresh shrooms online now and even grow kits dont seem worth the hassel.

Are these the same kind of truffles as used in fine food? If so I have dug them up in northern Califorina many years ago, ended up giving them to a resturant for a couple of bucks. i think they grew under Oak trees and are harvested using pigs to sniff them out.
