I have man Panaeolus Cinct growing in my yard and I was wondering if they were active. Before anyone says if I can identify I should know everything already, not really, i just know they're panaeolus subbalteatus from a previous shroom ID inquiry post and that was the consensus, but after looking around online i still don't understand if these contain anything active. Are these worth picking and trying to keep my lawn fruiting these? Thanks

Okay, first off, it's been 2 years and 10 months since you posted the ID request for the 'cubensis' you found growing in your back yard. In all that time you never bothered reading the first sentence of the wikipedia article on Panaeolus cinctulus? Take some spore prints, some proper pictures, get a proper ID and eat 'em

They are known to contain small traces of psilocybin & potency is reported as moderate when compared to Psilocybe cubensis . I would eat handfuls of Panaelous cintulus ( probually a mixed assortment containing also pan foes ) and I never got any effects other than throwing up. They are confirmed as being the most readily available psilocybin mushroom but I also would like too hear reports of what people think their potency is before I go eating them again

Sorry I haven't really been thinking about them since that ID post. I have done a few hours of searching on panaeolus cinct and for some reason I still do not know if they are worth eating, and if they are illegal to cultivate. Maybe i just suck at researching things but thats why i asked here, I dont use wikipedia as a source of information i would rather ask on here where people are knowledgable in general and I presumed would want to help educate others. i mean my question isn't completely retarded, i didn't ask "how do i grow magic mushrooms" or anything completely obnoxious imo :P
