Culture library giveaway - Stepping away from mycology 1

I've had two great cultivation passions throughout most of my life, both having started in the early 1970s. In fact, my passion for mycology came from tossing some cubensis-bearing cow pies into my compost pile, wondering if mushrooms could possibly be grown at home. That compost pile was for my pot cultivation. I've continued growing both through most of the last 40 years.
Last week, after a year-long process I obtained my Recreational Marijuana License from Washington State. I must now devote full time to this next chapter in the game of life. We converted our mushroom farm over to medical pot a few years ago, but kept that secret for our own security. Until now.
----
I have a culture fridge full of slants of various species, all proved fruiting strains. They're in NE WA State and I will give what I have left to one qualified person who will drive up here and get them.
I say qualified person because they haven't been transferred in over 2 years. I'm sure most are good, but will need some immediate care and a flow hood is a must. Reply below to convince me you're the one to get these. I'd rather give them to a newer grower, but one who is really serious, and also one who could not otherwise afford them. It would be a waste to give them to someone who could afford to pay $250 for each slant, of which I have 50 or more. Someone who would share with other members would be a plus too.
These are all edible cultures, no active species. No, I won't ship them. RR

Question why did you decide to open up about this ? Even if I had a licence I would still tell no-one in this world we live in today.

I'm only brand new to this field, but over the huge history of posts I've been learning from since i started this hobby, you've been a beacon of light to all of us! Your willingness to share knowledge and help others is an honourable thing. THANKYOU; not just on my own behalf, but on the behalf of future cultivators who have not yet found this community. The knowledge you've shared and recorded on these forums will continue to benefit many more in the future.
I wish you all the best with your endeavours.

Hey RR, a friend of a friend who isn't me has a clipping from a dank-ass Purple Benghazi Hydro-Kush, what agar recipe should I use to clone? Can I just make an LC by injecting seed? If rye sprouts in my sub can I just cut it out??? I'm using the "G-Tek", thanks in advance!

Hi RR, I'm a long time lurker. I don't have any reputation on the shroomery, but I am interested in your genetic samples. I have done some R&D work in metabolic engineering and am interested in investigating the metabolic pathways of secondary metabolites. Any results would be returned back to the community where they belong.
I have access to professional lab equipment and I'm fairly poor (according to societies standards) and a new grower -- so hopefully I meet your description.

I want to see the pretty ladies (but I understand the concern for security if you dont)!!! Congrats on going legal, nothing like the stress/paranoia of going to bed every night wondering if that's the night the man is going to bust your door down. Best of luck in your endeavor!

Do you have a list of what you've got? It would be a 4000mile round trip but I would do it! I'm about to bring all of my cultures out of storage and start full production at our new spot. I was thinking of doing something similar, but just giving away cultures/plates that aren't commercially viable.

Are you still going to grow them for your own culinary delight or are you finished all together?

I'm not vanishing completely from here, but I've been looking at my lab fridge for well over a year. I open it about once a month to check the temperature to make sure it's still cold. I'm not going to open any of the containers the slants are in without running the flow hood, and I just don't have the time or stomach for cleaning out the lab again. It has lots of shiitake cultures. I'm pretty sure I tossed out all my maitake cultures when I needed the tubes for something else.
I wouldn't want anyone driving 4K miles. I do want someone experienced enough not to fuck them up though, so no beginner growers please.
Our new business is gobbling up nearly all our time and this is why I want to give these cultures away before they go bad. Mrs Rabbit is still surviving cancer after all these years. The doctors gave up after chemo, surgery, radiation, and hormone 'treatments' all made her worse. She's now on some stuff John Holliday sent and is doing much better than the doctors could ever do. I'm really hoping she can pull out of this to enjoy the new future we have coming. RR

First congratulations. I just finished building my farm. I would love some of the cultures you have collected, though I would need them shipped. That said I would gladly pay for shipping. I would also be more then happy to share with the community now that I have my lab set up. If this is possible let me know. If you are not interested in shipping I understand. Good luck and enjoy the new operation!
