No it was purchased when it was much smaller but it was already grafted when I picked it up.  The non albinos usually pup like crazy but so far this little guy has only given me one pup.  I'm hoping I can have 4-5 grafts going by the end of the year but I need it to pup for me again. :crankey:

I was reading they do a lot of that in the spring then later on in the fall?  It looks like it wants to.

I'm not sure how fast its growing or the size; but I would cut the top and graft it then wait for the pups :awesome:

Yes indeed, we think alike. My main concern is making sure it is actively growing right now before I make any cuts.  Ever since I snipped a pup from it, I haven't seen it grow at all so I want to make sure I don't make any cuts in vain.  If I screw this specimen up, there are no second chances since this is the only one I have of it.

I say wait and dont be over zealous. These experiences have haunted me before. I would hate for you to lose such an interesting specimen. I only say this because I wanna piece of that later:lol:

Great shot, and that green stigma is really out of this world.  If you look at the 3 flowers behind the one in your shot, they give the appearance of a progression going from fully closed all the way to fully open with the one in the very front.

Don't give me too much credit, I'm no hero. That's a fantastic shot and I need that same type of shade cloth that you're using.  I've come to realize the stuff I'm using inside my newest greenhouse is a tad bit too shady because I'm starting to notice some stretching on my faster growing species. :crankey:

You may want to be careful especially if its your only clone ATM.

I'm losing a shitload of cacti that I've cut this summer... Kada mentioned it to me once and now I know what he was talking about. Due to it being the rainy season MOST of the cuttings are getting rot from fungal infections :crankey: Shit even the stocks are getting rot.
:kingcrankey:

I lost all of my large pachanoi. Luckily I was able to plant a small clone in the ground.

Sucks to here modern. I feel for you. 2 years ago it was my bad year. Lost many amd just had to take it. Nature's cruel way of doing things.

The three towers, standing mighty tall and proud.

The monstrose+crested form of cleistocactus jujuensis is among my favorite freaks.  Sadly my favorite one (the one in my sig, far right pic) rotted on me but I've got several others that will hopefully turn out similar if I give them enough time to grow.

A lone tower all by itself. :tongue2:
