Has anyone noted increased 'flavors' of emotion, i.e. more specific types, while experimenting with psychedelics, or perhaps while in very, very, deep trances or states of meditation? Another way to relate the concept would be perhaps increased definition of emotions, sort of like increasing resolution on a monitor, or increasing the color-depth.
For example, I recall being in states of intrigue or amusement that were far more specific than I could ever expect in a mundane state. Again, another way of relating this, would be if emotions were normally described broadly on the spectrum of all visible light, but while in advanced states of mind, the type of emotion could be focused on a very specific wavelength, causing a crisper emotion to be experienced... yes, this feels like the best way to relate it, with colors.
