Problem after Stinkin Problem

now my network is fucking up....
I got a Linksys, DSL 4-port Router...Sharing the Internet connection to two computers...

I Had it up, running fine, I think i was D/l'ing something on my laptop and then I lost the connection to the net on both computers.....

Any Ideas?

xp pro on both...I've setup all the network setting's properly..I've redone it like 3 time's now, and the same thing seem's to be happening...


oh i've also set up the same thing at my other house and it worked fine..

why go inet->router->desktop if u can go straight from inet to lappy?
ur supposed to go inet->router->both comp'z independantly.

right?

Not to get off the subject here, but I'll be quick.
I have run a few different small networks and will say again,
the easiest ever for just interent is powerline networking.

Try reseting the router. I am runing a similar router and it seems to just hang everyonce in a while for no apparant reason. Update the bios that seems to help a little.

i actualy came to the conclusion with the linksys tech support guy that i had to take it back...so after two linksys 4-port routers I took decided to go d-link, and it works like a charm
