Vegetable seed swapping thread 3

After 3 requests, here's where you post what you got, and arrange a trade - the VVVV threads haven't been overly reliable lately.
So post a list, and organize trades via PM. If there's enough response i'll sticky this thread.

I can't think of a single vegetable that can be grown indoors. (without artificial lighting) Least of all peppers.

I would like some pepper seeds since I can put them in someone's garden.
I don't have any vegetable seeds.... all I can offer at the moment is Sida Cordifolia seeds (a ephedrine containing plant).

Culinary herbs can be grown on windowsills quite easyerly, but not much that fruits can Most veg neeeds full sun.
Possible some beans or peas though, if your not expecting much in return.
Many veg are suitable for large containers though, if you have somewere outdoors to place them.
If your interessted in any of the seeds i listed, just ask.

Root type plants such as carrots can grow in windows given the right conditions and container shape/size. If you're into fresh basil it can really do well in windows with direct sunlight (I have five basil plants inside right now).

I'm interested in chilies if anyone wants to trade. I have an assortment of pretty normal vegetable seeds, also some rooting potatoes and garlic bulbs. Potatoes might be a bit expensive to mail though and I don't think they are too rare.

Hello farmers! I am only intrested in biological seeds... Not the mutants/hybrids most of the people grow...you know....the old ugly looking-tasty vegetables...
I have a pure strain of Romanian tomatoes. Any bio-freaks out there?

I have some Ildi seeds to share. (FREE!)
"Incredible masses of small grape tomatoes. This attractive yellow tomato has to be seen to be believed, up to 50 tomatoes in a single cluster. Visitors to our trials were amazed with the yield of Ildi. Salad sized ? oz tomatoes are borne in clusters on a vigorous indeterminate vine which grows about 4-5 feet tall. Mature fruit holds well. Start seed indoors 6 weeks before last frost. Maturity 60-65 days from transplanting."

cherry tomatoes kick ass. When i was a kid the first thing i ever grew was a cherry tomato. They respond very well to miracle grow. mine was 6 foot and a single plant could have like 300 at a time.

So far I've found some Casper Pumpkin seeds and Pak Choi Cabbage seeds. I know I've got more laying around. Grew beans, corn, lettuce, cabbage, peppers, tomatoes, squash, cucumber, zuchini, peas, eggplant and a few others last year. I'm getting ready to go till my garden now and get ready for the spring.

I had good results using your tomatoe seed last year, thanks again for them, also having quite good results this year from the same seed packets.
I have lots of peas and french beans of many colours this year spare if anyone is interessted, as well as jerusalem artichoke tubers. also picked up some carrot seed of the variety you posted above, plus a paket of dark red carrots from the same company.

The hyancinth bean grows as a vine, producing purple flowers and scarlet coloured seed pods. Pods and seeds may be poisonous due to high concentrations of cyanogenic glucosides, and can only be eaten after prolonged boiling. The leaves and stems are also used to make hay.

I'm terribly sorry, I had no idea they were poisonous.
To my knowledge they are edible and eaten by many people around the world.

But seriously, I wouldn't want to poison someone, I hadn't read anything about them even remotely being poisonous, else I would have included that information. Thankfully A3eyedfish found out more information about them before someone potentionally was hurt.

But i cannot for the life of me get any of the ILDI tomatos to germ...any tips? i got about 10 left and would like to get at least a couple plants started.

Garlic chives interest me & cilantro, mostly right now i have various pepper seeds to trade, i have an abundence of orange, red & yellow bell pepper seeds, i have a huge hot pepper project going on for this season, so i will eventually be offering a wide variety of pepper seeds.

I've got some catnip seeds. I've got quite a bit and will send out to a couple people. Catnip makes a relaxing tea, good for cat toys, rub it on you to keep mosquitos away. PM me if you're actually interested in planting it, not if you're just going to throw the seeds in a drawer. * Looks like my Lovage is in flower also! Will have seeds soon. Only fresh lovage seeds are viable.

Actually. This is the 3rd season the pablono has had to fruit. It is still technically winter but it is fruiting like crazy again. It produced a couple through the winter, then it started blooming and I kept using a q-tip to cross pollenate and I ketp the q-tip for when there arn't a whole lot of blooms on at a time. Not a problem at this minute. There are about 10 flowers on it. I need to get some more fertilizer and feed it again this year. I was told they couldn't last that long. Hell this one lives indoors and still produces IN WINTER. That is crazy. I have grown fond it it now. I should let one of the peppers actually seed out. So I can start some new ones off of it. It is sure a surviving hardy little bastard.

Did anyone ever get some miracle fruit seeds (or starter trees)? I would love to have one myself!
If anyone knows where to get them let me know! Miracle Berry, or Magic Berry (Sideroxylon dulcificum/Synsepalum dulcificum)
I have Thai Chili peppers and a few other rather common seeds available, but I recently moved, and I cannot get the quality plants I am used to getting back home, if anyone has a soft spot for a gardener who used to use pre started plants from a LOCAL heirloom nursery, but now needs to learn how to do her own, I could really use the seeds.
Thanks Coco

That would be awesome, do you grow them in 3 vine hills like regular pumpkins? if so I would love 8 or 9 seeds if you can spare them! I would happily send you a SASE or however you may want to arrange it, I have some seeds for Thai Chiles if you want a trade!
Thanks Coco

I have spearmint mint seeds, chives, pok choy (Chinese Cabbage), marigolds(good for pest repellent if planted in between rows), a few San Pedro Seeds (not many),melocactus mix, lithops, cilantro/coriander seed, and a few more. PM me or post on the board if you want some for trade.
I am looking for some organic vegetables (peppers mostly but any organics are cool really.). I would like vegitable offers and any ethno-botanical offers.
Thanks

Hello, Right now I've got not seeds to offer to anyone, but any donations would be greatly appreciated! I would really love any heirloom seeds that someone would like to pass on to me, and I would reply to your sending by sending you back seeds of whatever else i decide to plant. I know that it's late in the season, but I'm confident that some plants will still grow.
I'd like beans, tomatoes, berries, or zucchini's or cucumbers.
Again, any kind hearted individuals' generosity is greatly appreciated!!
thanks

Aye aye captain. I will have to look into that web site.
I have some pablano pepper seeds now. I haven't planted any so I am not sure how productive they are. They are from a plant that has been around 3 seasons. So I thought it has been a good producer and I better get some seeds out of it. I was originally planing on them ending at the end of the season. But I seasoned it over....and over... and here it is again.
I think I will plant some seeds in a peat pod system and see what happens.
Welp off to work. Wish me luck, I have to clean the surgery rooms. I hope there were no C sections or anything real messy.

I'm assuming this is one of those threads that's ok to revive...
So even though it's the wrong season for planting (in this hemisphere, anyway) here's what I've got (and will still have in spring '09)
Flint Corn: Roy's Calais Painted Mountain Flour Corn: Hopi Blue Dent Corn: Oaxacan Green
Note that these corn varieties were grown in close proximity, so with the exception of Hopi Blue, they are likely to have hybridized to some extent with any of the other listed varieties.
Acorn Squash Coriander Calendula Black Turtle Beans

It's getting close enough to spring for me to start preparing for this year's garden. I'm looking to utilize a lot of wild edibles this year like dandelions, lambsquarters, purslane, etc.
I've got some zucchini seeds for trade from last season.
Anyone have thistle seeds or any other wild edibles?

I def would be interested in the ghost pepper seeds or the chocolate scorpion seeds i love any hot pepper though. although i dont know anything about them, i just heard of them from a cooking show called Hairy Bikers. they were cooking with the ghost pepper and people were profusely sweating off them. i would love to try them out though.

They are pretty chilli, but they're also delicious, I dry my peppers and use them bit by bit, usually only use like half a pepper, I sell a sauce in my shop, it's actually getting more and more popular, it's mainly capsicum and tomato with just 1 chocolate Scorp and one bih jolokia(ghosts less famous brother) it's pretty damn hot, I watch my customers sweat all the time

Hey, very interested in these pepper seeds you speak of .
I'm curious how well they grow seeing how they're bred for capsaicin and not general plant vigor.
I have a sad half alive pepper plant in a pot that makes maybe one pepper every now and then. Would be perfect for a ghost pepper seeing how one of those is enough capsaicin for a lifetime (for me anyways).

Hey. Sorry to post on this thread after it's been idle for so long, but it seems the best place on this site for this request: I am wondering if anyone can provide me with some BT corn seeds, preferably some BT sweet corn. I know I can buy them around where I live, but they require that I buy a lot of it for a minimum purchase. I only need about 50 seeds or so. Thanx.
