Foolish worries 'n' anxieties
    #2010111 - 10/15/03 12:42 AM (13 years, 5 months ago)

i thought id share from my personal journal:

Most of the things you worry so much about would never happen if they were left alone. Yet by your persistent focus on them, you greatly increase their likelihood. It is wise to be concerned and to take actions that will address those concerns. Yet it is foolish to simply worry, day after day, until that worry is soon manifest into something real. Each day you fill your mind with thousands of thoughts. Those thoughts have much power because they influence every little thing you do, and those little things quickly add up.
So rather than filling your mind with worrisome thoughts, fill it with positive, enthusiastic, loving and life-affirming ones. Then, rather than letting the power of your thoughts push you down, those thoughts will be lifting you up. The next time you find yourself with a worry or anxiety, think of it as a pebble in your hand. Simply let go of it, let it drop naturally, effortlessly to the ground, and continue on your way. Then pick a positive, enriching thought to take its place ...

if you can't find the truth right where you are, where else do you expect to find it?

this is the purpose

Very nice.

Edit: I was having a really shitty day and that made me feel better. Thanks

Computer games don't affect kids. I mean if Pacman affected our generation as kids, we'd all be running around in a darkened room, munching pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.

"My motto from here on out is: If someone or something (including me) in my life is conducting themselves in such a way that they can be seen on Jerry Springer, it's time to take out the garbage!!! When you stop taking their behaviour personally and see their antics as a true reflection on their character, it becomes absolutely nauseating." Anon. on abusive relationships.

A balance between thinking and acting is VERY hard for me to perfect

Insert an "I think" mentally in front of eveything I say that seems sketchy, because I certainly don't KNOW much. Also; feel free to yell at me.

Clevername and me think the same way on the way our thoughts have effects on our life in every way, how important it is to keep positive and healthy states of mind....

Did you have to do some mental battling as well? Anyways, I don't think I have ranked you yet, so here's five shrooms!

Hehe, turns out I already rated you, and I mentioned our thinking alike-ness... crazy world, this one..

If I should die this very moment
I wouldn't fear
For I've never known completeness
Like being here
Wrapped in the warmth of you
Loving every breath of you

I'm going to give you my Mom's email address so you can pass this along to her.

Actually she's gotten a hell of a lot better over the years. I think she realizes it's a problem for her and is working on it. I just wish she had started working on it before I left the house years ago! She says it a "Mom's job" to worry, and I think she deserves overtime pay.

I AM what Willis was talkin' bout.

good god do i agree with strumpling.

i know i have to let go. but sometimes i just can't. like when my gf talks to this boi who asked her for fone sex... i KNOW i shouldnt be iffy. it's totally silly and irrational.

or how she mentioned going to some club with her girlfriends and shit, which i totally understand, cause its between friends. like, i probably wouldnt mind doing the same. but it still makes me uncomfortable. the real problem is when i chose to deny it, and make up excuses like clubs are ridiculous, and shit like that. at least i got that part done with though.

suggestions for dropping that... pebble? i try to drop it sometimes, but that shit is like, embedded in my hand (to continue the analogy in the worst way possible)
