I cloned a mushroom that I found around 3 weeks ago.
This is the mycelium as of today.
I plan to make some wood dowels for log inoculation.

Nice !
I found some beautiful Pleurotus ostreatus and Griffola frondosa whilst hunting yesterday which I've cloned to agar and also some huge Sparassis crispa (cauliflower fungus)
I noticed you labeled the culture Pleurotus ostreatus svecina. What does "svecina" mean out of curiosity ?

That's a perty one.
I found a 1/2 lb p. ostreatus a couple weeks ago. All of my P2 transfers covered the plate in 9 days! I'm going to innoculate grain ---> plugs and straw. I'll fruit the straw inside.

Hello Anno, I would love to get a pleurotus ostreatus culture from you. (if you have one left off course)!!! I have many agar plates ready, a flowhood and I will have some freshly cut woodlogs in January. I still have your home adress somewhere, so I can send you the mailingcosts back. I've allready had 2 great bleu oyster harvests this year, and I hope there will be more. (Grown on a birch woodlog, too bad I didn't have a digicam around) 1 year ago I recieved a Stropharia russula-annulata culture from you, but unfortunataly I didn't find the time to make my outdour bed. I do have 4 large jars of colonised birdseed of them waiting in my fridge untill springtime. I promise I will post results when I have them. I shared the culture with a friend of mine, and he had 2 small Stroph. Russ.-ann. mushrooms he could harvest. He had grown them on straw in a filterpatch bag, which he cut open and placed outside with some potting soil on top. (But he's not so good at growing mushrooms) Anyway, thanks a lot for this generous offer. Check your PM's for my adress, shine on, keep up the good work and three big kisses for you!!!

I have a bag with 200 dowels ready to innoculate some woodlogs. I'm just going to wait a few more weeks to do so cause it's still to cold. Do you think it will be a problem if I don't use hardwoods? (I only have spruce/fir logs).
PS; It's very healthy mycelium and it really has a nice smell!!! Unlike my other oystercultures, it has a nice anise-like smell to it!

Oysters grow very well on straw, and it's much faster as well. In fact, straw logs kick butt for them.
