Very uneven pinset in dub tub mono.

Hi,
It seems I screwed this up somehow..lol. I can't remember if these are B+ or Hawaiians. Tub was "late cased" with Jiffy with some extra verm toss in. Ph was brought to approx. 7-1/2 and also added a little gypsum. It was starting to show a few pins here and there when I cased it. I believe this is where I could have done better. There are lots of pins just now starting to show as well. I also have a small fan running nearby to help with FAE. I guess maybe I should have misted and fanned more. However, I assumed it was more of a maintenance free way to go. Maybe this is a normal outcome. I'm fairly new to the hobby and this was 1st. mono. The fruits seem to look pretty decent though. Any thoughts on what I could have done different or is this what to expect? Thanks.
Oh yea, sub is straw / hpoo spawned with WBS.

it was ms right?
uneven pinset is to be expected if its ms, or at least ime
if you want an even pinset like you see in the grow logs you gota learn to work with agar and isolate
i wouldnt worrie dude, they will be great, just harvest each mushroom as it matures

On a few rare occasions I have had fairly even pin sets with MS but generally I end up harvesting a few fruits a day over the coarse of a week.

yes MS will be less reliable for an even pin set. but there are still things you can do.. 1. make sure you initiate fuiting conditions at the right time (not too early) this is probably most important to getting even pinset
2.you basically want an even layer of perfect humidity throughout the substrate surface. maybe you achieved this, maybe not. for this i recommend bubble wrap tek... although it's too late at this point to use it i guess? http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17736027#17736027
BUT.. if your monotub is dialed in correctly the bubble wrap thing should be unnecessary. I have tried a double tub before, didn't do as well as my monotubs have. so i stick to the monotub
good luck

Yes, it was a MS syringe I made from some prints I took from the original fruits in the beginning. I nocked up some WBS then spawned to my bulk sub (50/50 straw-hpoo).
Still have some labeled PES Hawaian prints, but lost track of the B+'s, so I'm not 100% sure which are which without starting some new spawn and keeping everything labeled properly....lol. I understand Hawaiians may be somewhat stronger in general so since I have some labeled I will just be experimenting with those until I can get some fresh, properly labeled prints. Kinda kicking myself in the butt over that one.
I may be interested in trading some Hawaiian prints for something else. But they are simple prints on the inside of a zip-lock snack bag. And not the nice, neat prints such as those made on foil then folded, etc. So I am not sure if people would want them or not. I do know the ones I have tried so far have been 100% successful and I have used several since I had them. May be using to0 many spores if that is possible. I generally just used a print for a couple syringes when I could have easily made 10.
I want begin working with agar soon. It may sound kinda crazy, but I read and studied the basics off & on for about a year before finally getting a MS syringe and do the Pf-Tek. So I had a fairly good start as far as understanding the science behind it all. Other interests are edibles such as shitake, maitake, and oysters to both eat and possibly sell online. Have picked quite a few oysters and maitake in the wild and really like them. Especially the maitake, I think they have a flavor similar to a morel.

Thank you. And yes, I will be using a regular monotub in the future. I just happened to have the 2 others so went ahead & used them.

When used correctly dub tubs kick ass. I have gotten my best yields from dubs.

Right on. Yea, this looks like it will yeild well, just mature at different times. I'm pretty happy it annyways. Especially the size of the fruits. Quite a bit bigger than I was getting off cakes.

Cool, thanks for the link & tip on bubble wrap. This looks to work well, I will have to try that out for sure.

i may have screwed something up. it went mediocre at best. i had similar problems OP had with spotty growth and i think it was from a substrate that i didn't mix well enough; parts of the dubtub were ready to fruit before other parts were and it just never fruited like my monotubs
