Possible contamination?

There are things that look like white crystals all on the bottom and lower side of my cakes still in the jars. I only innoculated two nights ago so I don't know. I wish I had a diggy camera but I don't. It looks like it might be pieces of flour clumped together or something... Any help would be appreciated.

Well, I hope that is what it is, hard to say.
My advise is to monitor it, see if it grows
or spreads.

Good luck, sometimes bits of rice skin can look
crystaly.

except it's on the bottom of all the jars and I think it may be spreading. (Maybe not though)

My friend made a cake that started to colonize about 4 days ago and the mycellium is spreading rapidly. EXCEPT there is one or two specks of black, also one red speck. It looks like its only three invidual pieces of vermiculite that are infected. Can the mycellium overtake this shit if my friend just leaves it alone? It's his only jar due to uncontrollable circumstances so he doesn't want it to fail. He has a bottle of H202 (that's hydrogen peroxide right?). So what should he do?? Thanks in advance

There is nothing objective your friend can do before birthing the cakes. After 100% colonization (i mean, if it colonizes) and consequent birth, your friend can inspect the cake and treat the possible contamination but nothing can be done before birth.
Btw, if you want to make another question, you might want to start a new thread. There's no need to have multiple subjects in the same thread.

Thanks for the advice. I started this thread a while ago about some contamination so I figured I'd just slide another question in. After all the more threads, the more loading time for everyone. Also, his cake is in his room where he sleeps. If that mold is toxic do you think it can escape the jars and infect the room? He's probably just being paranoid but I know some molds are really bad for you and harboring it in your room is probably a bad idea.
