Well this puts mine to shame.. I found 2 jars with the tiniest bits of green in one top corner. I crumbled them (plenty more green in the middle of the suspected edge so confirmed bad technique on my part) tossed them in a 6 inch deep hole that's about 6 inches wide lol. I'm really not expecting much, there's a few layers of brf/mycelium/straw/compost but overall it's not a lot of mycelium for the amount of nutrient available. I'm not too hopeful for fruits this year anyway. Can't wait to see how yours pans out though!

it's not a huge deal to not get anythign from them, it's good for the ground anyway at the very least and better then putting it in the garbage right!

Hey buddy! Thanks for watching. I feel like if you would have put more spawn in, you would get a bigger yield... But either way...Quote:

Like cron says, its good for environment.
I wish my jars would have actually shown trich like yours.
I made these jars from different masters (from different plates) Than the tubs I have now... But you can never be too careful.
God I wished I would have taken the extra time and made transfers 2 months ago.

I have a couple of still clean almost done jars, but it's my first grow and I have a SGFC just staring at me saying COME ONNNNNNNNNN. I didn't want to pilfer any of the remainder, but... I am still 6 jars up.. I guess one or two wouldn't hurt. Do you think it would be okay to go adding more tomorrow?

I know you used grass clippings, I meant to add a top layer to make it even with the ground and to function as a barrier. Doesn't really matter though.

Plants really love it! I always mix in spent bulk substrate when I'm potting plants and bunches of it with the garden, usually oyster spawn in that case (they'll choke plants in a flowerpot but are less unruly if they have space) and it seems like a better alternative to chemical fertilizers. I know there are dedicated species for this purpose but I work with what I have.

Yeah, it'll come out through loose straw pretty quickly and pin/fruit well off straw. A lot of times with manure it tends to fruit almost exclusively at the edges. And the extra water never hurts.

Either way should be fine, and accomplish the same thing.
