I find tea is equally potent personally. it just comes on quicker and seems to not last quite as long.

it was poking through,
i cased it after 7 days,
then when i came back for 14, myc was poking through the casing layer.

What did you case with Verm? Just trying to figure out my next steps. I have a week then I leave for a week. Don't want my first flush to come while I'm gone. Right now, I have myc showing. Maybe I should case to buy time

If it's colonized or close by yet me you leave I'd definitely case to buy time cause they grow fast outside, at least mine did and I'm supposing it's pretty warm where you live.
I would use something other than just verm though, add coir or peat to it.

Do you think a thick casing layer can buy Mr a week?

I think so, I dunno what too thick would be but I'd do like 3/4 inch maybe, even if it's pinning by the time you get back you still stopped any problems of over maturing

Preesh. Would hate to have the first flush come while on vacation. If it came prior that would be awesome, but it looks like another week under the plastic, followed by a week of casing, and then I can come home to a pleasant surprise.

Interesting read through and much good info to keep in mind for the outdoor grow. Squirrels birds an SLUGS oh my. Good job in that hot weather. I will have mod Temps but many many slugs.
