Who is responsible for the economy?
    #2004398 - 10/13/03 03:48 AM (13 years, 1 month ago)

I'm curious as to how people percieve the economic workings of our nation. DO you think that, since our economy has gone downhill since Bush took office, that it's HIS actions that lead to this? Do you think that economic decisions visibly display their ramifications within weeks, months, or even a few years? The main reason our economy is slumping is 9/11. also, since Enron, MCI-Worldcom and the other big companies were padding their books during the Clinton years, god only knows where we REALLY stood then.

I wouldn't say that Bush is solely responsible for the shitty economy, but as I've said before, he's increased spending while lowering taxes, which is a highly irresponsible thing to do during a deficit. He didn't necessarily make the economy bad, but he's making it worse.

US economy is in a bad shape for a while. Corrupted government is becomenig pretty heavy load for US prosperity.

PS. Remember Enron .
PPS. I wont enter into analizing american foreign politics, modern colonies, and other stuff that keep this system still running. Though, it is a tough period infront of you. But, be happy, cause after that shit you will see something amazing. Never seen before!

things were on the downswing for a bit before
bush hit the fan.

though, please note, corporate book cooking has
been going on long before clinton took office.

I'll say that 9/11, enacting pnac's new world order
and the tax cuts sure aren't helping things out.

Oh shit.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for that my dear friend is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it. ~ Adrian Rogers
