Baghdad Hotel bombed.. Possibly CIA headquarters...

Reports say a car exploded after being fired on outside the Baghdad Hotel, which is believed to be a headquarters of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

Unconfirmed reports speak of a number of casualties.

Helicopters are hovering overhead and ambulances have rushed to scene - where firefighters are trying to extinguish a blaze in a vehicle.

Hotel is undamaged. Car exploded at the blast barrier.

Quite a pointless attack. The bomber ended up killing 6 of his own. Reminds of a suicide bombing in North West Africa some time ago where a terrorist accidently bombed two dozen other Muslims by accident when he was trying to attack a synagogue. Stupid.

Well damn.  I should stop watching CNN right before I go to bed :smile:

The media is a bunch of ambulance chasers.

On edit, I just rewatched the tape from this morning.  There is a picture of the Baghdad hotel and part of it blasted away..  It also shows the buildings down the street with their windows broken.  CNNi is saying that they have now verified that the occupants were CIA and State Dept.  They make a point that this is now Verified..  It also shows a picture of some onlooker kicking a piece of a scalp.. long hair streaming off a burnt piece of scalp.  I shit you not.  Then the reporter says, this is a live feed, you may see some graphic images..  Then they go into a loop.  It's bizarre shit. I went to bed because I was frustrated about the loop for 20 minutes and figured that it was such a big story based upon what I had seen that I would read about it in the morning.

I need  a firewire card.
