a few more questions regarding lack of fruit

my sugar glider birthed several cakes, and one cake has grown 2 mushrooms, where as the rest have grown none at all.

we think that the other cakes might have dried through all this time (I only started misting after these musrooms came in.) and that possibly dunking them would help.

Also, the big kahuna is ready to be picked, but I have no dessicant, (Home Depot closed before I got off of work) and the soonest I can get some is about 11.5 hours from now, should I just pick it? and if so, how should I dry it?

Did you cold shock? When you birth cakes, you usually dunk them in water and place in the fridge for 24 hours to induce pinning and re-hydrate the cake. Then some roll in verm to help water stay in the cake. Go ahead and pick the mushroom(s), and place infront of a fan until you get dessicant.

I never cold shocked, mostly because putting cakes in my fridge is not an option.
