I think these are Inocybe ceasariata or some type of honey mushroom.
And thats my dog barney. Any ideas on what these could be?

They look like Honey Mushrooms, at least from the top. It would be very helpful to see the underside.

A spore print will immediately separate Armillarias from Inocybes. Armillarias have white spore prints, Inocybes have brown ones.

Check the center of the cap to see if there are tiny, erect dark hairs.

Happy mushrooming!

Thanks. I turned one over after the picture and they have white gills so the spore print should be white. I was using the national audubon mushroom book to compare pics. It looked a lot like the Inocybe but I think it is a honey mushroom.

Please, do *not* assume that white gills mean a white spore print. That's the sort of thing that gets people poisoned.

In August I found a nice collection of Inocybes that had brilliant, pure white gills. After a couple days they turned the expected dirty brown.

In Armillaria species, the gills will darken as the mushrooms age. The spore print will still come out white.

Lots of the pink spored mushrooms have white gills when young. There are a lot of very nasty poisonous species there.

Make a habit of making a spore print. Expect to be surprised sometimes at the color it comes out.

Happy mushrooming!
