Nice finds MF,but are you positive those are Ps.Cubensis? They have some minor negative looks to me,for instance the center point on the cap is a dark brownish color, and the cap appears a little too wavy for its stage in adolescence(another words, the cap looks like its almost too mature(because of its fold/wavyness)in combintaion with the stem)sorry for the chitter chatter but all Im saying is that the mushroom doesnt really resember a cubie to me and I dont want u to be ingesting a mushroom that u think is an active when it very well couldnt be.Peace man and Good Luck! P.S.-Did your mushrooms bruise any color?

i think it could be P. cubensis. why dont you take a photo of the underside and a spore print?
it looks like a horse dung cubensis to me. the wavy cap in the second photo is kind of hard to distinguish and its very undetailed. so maybe take a little side view of the larger specimen.
lubie jesc kotlety.

Man, when you argue the identity of Psilocybe cubensis, and its not dried, rotted, or distorted in any way, you must have blinders on!!! Ps. cubensis has got to be one of the easiest of all mushrooms to identify, if you can't figure it out, you probably never will.
They are very obvioulsy Ps. cubensis, and give the picker some credit. He didn't ask for an ID, he knows what he is picking and is well aware of how to identify Ps. cubensis mushrooms, which once again doesn't take a rocket scientist!
Wavy cap? you mean aged and upturned, which is a well reported feature of this mushroom in a mature stage.

Im confused of what you mean by the "wavy cap". Ive always thought a wavy cap is a characteristic like those found on woodloving species like the psilocybe cyan and stuff. I see No wavy caps (or what I know of wavy caps) in the above pictures. The cap being up turned is something very common in mature Cubies.

You have some great pics!!! I wish I could pick wild cubes in my area. I guess I'll have to settle for cyans, azures, and libs. Btw... here's a post you should read. Joshua
