Temp of thermal death?

Arg...

I think the heating pad might have got to hot, not sure though....what temp do the spores die?

Thermal death is @ 106* F, but is wise to keep under 90*F

So, if jars were on a heating pad on say, the medium/high settings, for one night, are they dead? They had just been injected that day...

Like DMJ said, thermal death will occur in live mycelia at 106?F. To answer your question you will need to give us more information. Was it sitting directly on the pad or was it on a cloth? Also, do you have any idea what the temperature inside the incubator is?

Provided that you have just innoculated the jars and germination may not have begun yet, I would say that you will be fine.

Once I had six jars on a heating pad that was way too hot for over 24 hours. 4 jars died and the other two worked. Good luck
