I didn't mean to sounds so harsh there, It's just tha I just wasted a brand new syringe, needle, and a cake. This tek requires more development to show people what NOTto do, like try it with a cake that has vermiculite as a dry barrier layer.

The WBS experiment turned out MUCH better. 35 ml was injected int othe jar, and shake-shake-shake-the-mycelia. Only 7ml were recovered, due to mycelia absorption of the rest, but those 7ml have lots of strands of mycelia floating. Looks like it works

Maybe you were unable to make a good liquid mycellium syringe but don't say you wasted a syringe, a needle and cake.
Your syringe and needle can always be cleaned and sterilize again. And your cake is still good to birth.
I once was forced to use one of my syringe to suck some of my cat piss and bring it to my vet for testing. I cleaned that syringe and sterilized in the PC. I'm still using it for inoculation and I don't see any problem. eh eh eh..

Wow this seems like a really cool tek. I might need a few attempts to get it done but im sure i will use this in the future. Thanks Kush and Magash. Peace.

Could one inject spores straight into a water/karo mixture and grow the mycelium from there?
I have a syringe ready right now, but it will take me some time to get my cakes ready, and I was hoping to speed up the process a little bit

yes that is possible...as long as the karo/water is sterile.

has anyone tried smearing a piece of mycelium on the rubber part of a syringe, filling the syringe with sterile water, shaking, and injecting the mixture directly into sterile pint or half pint jars? I saw someone mention it on this thread earlir. Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with that...

Since people are asking about myc syringes I thought I'd bump this thread.
